Carlos Moving Westward
As of 8 a.m. PDT Monday, Tropical Storm Carlos was centered near 9.6 north and 125.3 west, or about 1,370 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Carlos was downgraded from hurricane status Sunday afternoon. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph with higher gusts.
