James Brown....I feel good.

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL LIFT NORTH INTO BRITISH COLUMBIA THIS WEEKEND...FLATTENING THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE. THIS WILL INCREASE THE ONSHORE FLOW AND BRING COOLER AIR TO THE AREA. THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD IN AGAIN NEXT WEEK FOR ANOTHER STRETCH OF HOT AND DRY WEATHER.

NORTHERLY WINDS INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON AND PROBABLY HAVE LOW END ADVISORY THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING OVER MOST OF THE COASTAL WATERS. ADVISORY WINDS LIKELY AGAIN SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT AS HIGH PRES OFFSHORE AND A THERMAL TROUGH ALONG THE SOUTH OREGON COAST STRENGTHEN. SEAS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN WELL BELOW 10 FT THROUGH MID WEEK.

WASHINGTON AND OREGON WATERS...A HIGH PRES RIDGE WILL BUILD TO THE W OF THE WATERS TODAY AND PERSIST THROUGH WED. A WEAK STATIONARY FRONT WILL DISSIPATE ACROSS THE S WATERS TODAY. A LOW PRES TROUGH WILL DEVELOP AND EXTEND N ALONG THE COAST MON INTO TUE AND THEN WEAKEN ON WED.

Quiet in the East Pacific
Though there are several areas of showers and thunderstorms in the Pacific Basin, no significant development is expected into midweek.
A tropical wave is along 105 west, near 10 north moving west at about 6 degrees longitude per day. This wave has shown a bit of an increase in shower and thunderstorm activity and is slowly developing low- and mid-level circulation. A second tropical wave is along 125 west between 5 north and 15 north. This wave will be encountering some drier air to its west, along with cooler water temperatures the next few days. Both waves are moving west at about 6 degrees longitude per day. http://hurricane.accuweather.com/hurricane/basin-story.asp?partner=netweather&traveler=0&basin=epacific
